OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) Board will hold their monthly meeting at the Tulsa Marriott Southern Hills on Wednesday, Aug. 26, beginning at 4 p.m. The meeting will kick off the board’s annual retreat. The agency’s board will conduct a two-day strategic planning session on Thursday, Aug. 27, and Friday, Aug. 28, beginning both days at 8:30 a.m. These meetings are also open to the public.

The Thursday morning session will open with a panel discussion about Oklahoma’s overall health status and how it can be improved. Panelists include Chickasaw Governor and OHCA Board Chairman Gov. Bill Anoatubby, OHCA CEO Mike Fogarty, Oklahoma Secretary of Health and Commissioner of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Terri White and Oklahoma State Dept. of Health Commissioner Terry Cline. Friday will open with a session about Health Information Technology and the opportunities the state is pursuing in that area. The final session Friday will be an open forum asking for input to help guide the agency in developing its strategic plan.
