Soonercare provides quality health care for one in four Oklahomans. If you are one of our 700,000 plus members, or a former member, we want to hear from you! What has SoonerCare done for you or your child? Whether it is life-saving medical treatment or the ability to provide much needed care for your child, we would like to hear how SoonerCare made a difference in your life.

Approximately 60,000 uninsured children in Oklahoma are qualified for SoonerCare but are not enrolled. 

In an effort to reach out to and successfully enroll these children and their families into the SoonerCare program, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority has coordinated an outreach effort called SoonerEnroll. 

In addition to initial enrollment efforts, SoonerEnroll will improve the rate of successful and timely recertification of children and families currently enrolled in SoonerCare.

• Anjanette Covey and Dana Miller spoke with Ken Johnson at Renda Broadcasting about SoonerEnroll. The interview aired on 92.5 KOMA, NewsTalk 1520 KOKC, 107.7 KRXO and MAGIC 104.1 KMGL.
• Ed Long and Dana Miller were interviewed for Local Perspectives with Reid Mullins. The interview about SoonerEnroll aired September 25 on KTOK radio. The program was heard on Clear Channel’s other Oklahoma City stations 94.7, The Brew; 101.9, The Twister; 1340, The Game; and 96.1 KXXY.

How Does SoonerEnroll Work?

SoonerEnroll has strategically divided Oklahoma into four regions; each region will have an Outreach Coordinator and one or more Community Outreach Associates. 

This staff creates sustainable infrastructure for outreach by strengthening existing and creating community level and statewide partnerships. SoonerEnroll also provides technical assistance and training. 

How Do I Enroll in SoonerCare?

There are two ways to enroll:

• Apply online at www.mysoonercare.org and get an immediate result.
• Go to www.mysoonercare.org and download a paper application, complete, and mail back to the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.

How Do I Become A SoonerEnroll Partner?

• Check to find out if SoonerEnroll will be at an event in your area
• Order free OHCA publications and outreach materials

SoonerEnroll partners can assist the public with enrolling into the SoonerCare program. 

As a SoonerEnroll partner you will be able to assist community members with online and paper applications through the training and technical assistance from OHCA. 

Or you can forward information about where to get an application through your current intake process, and/or display of posters and other outreach materials. There is no contract or agreement necessary to be a SoonerEnroll partner.
